Ultimate God vs Ultimate Human is the 2nd chapter of the "Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok" manga series.
Summary[]
Heimdall declares that Ragnarok is beginning and to start off, they have one hell of a match. On the Gods' side, they have the strongest Nordic God, the Thunder Berserker, Thor.

First Round of Ragnarok: Lü Bu vs Thor
On Humanity's side, they have the Hero from the Three Kingdoms, Lü Bu. Lü Bu dismounts Red Hare and takes his halberd (known as the Sky Piercer) that falls from above. Heimdall says the atmosphere of this match is also at maximum voltage.
The Norse God of Justice, Forseti, cheers on Thor but he's interrupted by the loud shouting of Zhang Fei, who urges Lü Bu to kick Thor's ass, much to Forseti's displeasure. Downing a barrel of alcohol, Zhang Fei remarks on how alcohol is a great side to a fight with the Gods. He asks Liu Bei what he thinks and Liu Bei brings up the fact that if Lü Bu was truly chosen because he was thought to be the strongest of their era, he argues that title should've gone to the man considered to be the God of Martial Arts, Guan Yu. However, Guan Yu says that may be so if they consider tactical and strategic ability but if it's about raw strength, then Lü Bu is indeed the correct choice. He then notes that Lü Bu's army hasn't changed much and looks over to see Lü Bu's army cheer him on. The strategist for Lü Bu's army, Chen Gong, halts their cheering and assures Lü Bu that, as part of his army, they shall follow him wherever he goes. He then breaks out with tears, overwhelmed that he has a chance to once again see the sight of Lu Bü's fighting.

Brunhilde tells Göll, in a crude way, that this is a chance for Humans to prove the Gods wrong
Göll asks Brunhilde if Lü Bu can really stand a chance against Thor and Brunhilde correctly guesses that Göll can't believe that a Human can beat a God. Brunhilde guesses that the Gods watching also believe so before stating that this is a prime chance for Humanity to "Ram a fist up the ass of the Gods that shat on them from above", surprising Göll as her way of speaking just now was very crude. Heimdall takes in a large breath and as the prose, Edda, states: "The herald of the end, Heimdall, held the Gjallarhorn within his grasp. It would be the signal of Ragnarok". Heimdall then blows into the Gjallarhorn, signaling the start of Ragnarok and the start of Round 1.
Immediately after, both Thor and Lü Bu lower their weapons and begin approaching one another casually. Zeus notes that neither seem to be interested in the other's opening move. Zhang Fei and Shiva note that this makes sense for Lü Bu and Thor respectively. Chen Gong inwardly says that this is to be expected of his lord and Forseti questions if Lü Bu even knows the meaning of fear. As Thor and Lü Bu continue approaching each other, Göll wonders if Lü Bu will be alright since it seems like he's underestimating Thor while Brunhilde is excited. Thor and Lü Bu were born and bred differently. From their inception, they were different from each other. The only thing they both had a claim to, was the title of "strongest".

Lü Bu and Thor clash for the first time in the fight
Meaning, with their first strike, they would aim to utterly annihilate their opponents. Lü Bu lifts his Sky Piercer up and swings, clashing it against Thor's Mjolnir. Lü Bu is surprised Thor was able to defend against it and applies more pressure, pushing Thor back. After Thor gets pushed back, Lü Bu leaps into the air to bring down his Sky Piercer once more. Thor then swings his Mjolnir, forcing Lü Bu to defend against the hammer midair, much to Thor's surprise. After Lü Bu gets knocked back, the two charge back in and clash weapons once more.

Thor charges up Thor's Hammer to use against Lü Bu
They have both fought on countless battlefields and both have fought countless enemies. That's why, in this moment, they both had the same thought: that the foe before them, that were able to withstand their first strike, was the first in a long time. Heimdall calls it an amazing development as both seem to be equal. Zeus praises Lü Bu for keeping up before ominously stating that it won't be long before Thor unleashes his true power. After they both jump back, Thor briefly sets down Mjolnir with his right hand and generates an electrical current in his left hand. As Forseti seems to recognize this, Thor places his left hand on Mjolnir and picks the hammer up with both hands, covering it with the electrical current.
Thor then takes an unusual stance and leans his upper body back halfway, holding Mjolnir over his head. Huginn questions if Thor is really going to use "that" on Lü Bu and wonders if the Human is that strong, that Thor has to use "it." Muninn, however, guesses that Thor is only responding to the Human's seriousness in earnest.

A Guardian Angel complains about how their work is too quiet
The scene then switches to Asgard, in an ancient era. Asgard itself is surrounded by tall walls, which were built in order to defend against the giants of Jotunheim. One of the guardian angels yawns and complains about having to stand watch. He tells his Captain that he became a Guardian Angel to fight against giants, not to stand all day. When he calls it too peaceful, the Captain claims it is only peaceful because they are defending the wall each and every day.
The Captain tells him not to say something when he hasn't even seen real combat and the guardian angel argues that's why he needs to fight. Suddenly, they feel tremors. They then spot a large army of giants headed their way. Norse God of War, Tyr, tells his troops to stand firm and the residents of Asgard wonder if the walls will be breached. The Guardian Angels have trouble repelling the giants because of the sheer number of them. Eventually, the Guardian Angels are overwhelmed and the giants breach the wall. As the giants flood Asgard, the Guardian Angels try to attack from the sky but it's no use as they're easily repelled.

Thor bored after killing the Jötnar
The Guardian Angel Knights appear to try and turn the tide but they are easily defeated too. Until that day, all attacks from the giants were easily repelled. That was because they acted independently. And so, after hundreds of years of overconfidence, the Asgardians' battle experience were waning and their defenses weakened, which were what the giants were after. That day, Asgard was truly brought to the brink of destruction. The giants make it to the castle and begin banging on the doors, demanding to be let in. Forseti quivers in a corner and tears up, believing it to be over. However, Thor appears and willingly opens the doors. He then begins slaying the giants with ease. As their blood rains down, Thor sighs about how they're all weak. That day, Thor killed 66 Jötunn with ease yet he felt bored. Since then, Gods have told tales of his glory.
In the present, the arena begins to crackle electricity. The Gods had bestowed a name onto Thor's killer technique. As Zeus says it's over and Odin tells Thor to show them, it's revealed that the technique was called Thor's Hammer.

Thor is injured by Lü Bu after the latter thwarts Thor's Hammer
Thor then swings his electricity-filled Mjolnir at Lü Bu and seemingly hits him directly, creating a giant shockwave. Shiva guesses that's it for Round 1 and Forseti cheers Thor on while Odin stays silent. Göll suddenly falls to her knees, admitting that thinking a Human can beat a God was foolish. However, Brunhilde tells Göll to get up and witness this historical moment, for both God and mankind. The smoke clears and Lü Bu shows he's unharmed, having defended against Thor's Hammer with his halberd. He calls Thor "pretty good" and then slashes Thor across the chest, drawing blood, much to the shock of the Gods and to the pride of Chen Gong.
