Round Five is the 31st chapter of the "Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok" manga series.
Summary[]
As Brunhilde walks down a corridor, Göll shouts her name and runs up to her sister.
She apologizes for blowing up at Brunhilde earlier, noting that she must've had her own feelings on the matter. Brunhilde touches Göll's shoulder and warmly assures her little sister that she hasn't done anything wrong before saying they should both look forward, for Humanity's sake. Wiping away her tears, Göll inwardly notes that she's glad as Brunhilde has been acting weirdly ever since Ragnarok began but it seems she's still her usual self.
As they walk down the corridor of the fighters for Humanity's rooms, Göll says now that they've evened the score, they have a chance to take the lead. Brunhilde says that is why they have come to this man's room. They stop in front of two sliding doors and both doors open up. They walk into a Japanese-style room and even more sliding doors open. As they go through many rooms, the penultimate room is filled with a bunch of bowls. Göll questions what this place is and what the rumbling in the final room is about. The sliding doors to the final room opens, revealing many naked women, of different species, laying on a large, circular bed.
They all look like they're in bliss and the rumbling turns out to be from the only man on the bed, who's snoring. Noting that he's been sleeping, eating and having sex, Göll calls him the incarnation of desire itself. Göll asks Brunhilde who this is, only to notice the wall is filled with many different Yokozuna handprints, giving Göll a hint as to who it is since it relates to sumo.
Brunhilde suddenly yells for the man to get up and all the women wake up before scrambling to leave in fear. Brunhilde tells the man he's up next and the man yawns, noting he just got to sleeping soundly.
Smiling, the man guesses that they want to go at it too since they woke him up and jumps into the air, naked, much to Göll's fright. Brunhilde stops him by holding him back by his jaw and the man calls her cold.
Sighing, Brunhilde states that he's the same as ever, calling him "Raiden". Göll is surprised that this pervert is Raiden Tameemon and smirking, Raiden leans over Brunhilde and places his hand near the wall of handprints, making Göll realize how huge his hands are, compared to other Yokozuna. Raiden asks if Brunhilde is the one he'll be coupling with but Brunhilde reveals she has someone else more suited for him, though it will be for Völundr and not sex. Brunhilde calls for "Thrud" and someone begins booming in. A voice tells Raiden he's met his match and third of the thirteen Valkyrie sisters, Thrud, enters and she's even bigger and muscular than Raiden. She guesses he only thinks of her as a brute, only for Raiden to exclaim he likes this and embrace Thrud. He claims to be very fond of big women. Thrud tells him to stop joking around and attempts to get Raiden off her, only for Raiden to hug her even tighter, asserting he's always 100% serious.
This causes Thrud to blush and as Göll is shocked he managed to make her sister act like a pure maiden, Thrud calls Raiden a dummy. Raiden says he knows before their hearts resonate, allowing them to undergo Völundr. At the arena, the previously circular space has been changed into a square shape with a tsuriyane floating above it. Dressed in a kimono, Heimdall declares now that they're even, neither the Gods nor Humanity can afford to lose the fifth round.
After women walk around the arena, holding up sumo kensho banners, Heimdall states that it's time and begins introducing the fifth representative for Humanity. Heimdall reveals he was born in the land of the rising sun and took part in one of the greatest combat sports known to man: sumo. As fourth-generation Yokozuna, Kajinosuke Tanikaze and fifth-generation Yokozuna, Kisaburo Onogawa look on, Heimdall declares that in all of the sport's 2000 years, there was one man who stood above the rest.
As the sumo wrestlers in the crowd perform Shiko, the fifth representative for Humanity begins walking in. Heimdall recounts how, because of his immense strength, all his favorite techniques – Harite, Teppo, Kannuki, Sabaori – were banned by the judges yet he kept winning and retained his title of the strongest. The man sheds his robe, revealing he's only wearing a mawashi with red angled lines all over his body, along with bands that cover his elbows, wrists, knees and ankles. Genpaku Sugita comments on how the flow of his muscles are a sight to behold, from his latissimus dorsi to his gluteus maximus and expresses how much he wants to dissect him. Just behind, Hokusai Katsushika focuses on drawing him. Heimdall says that the man reigned as the ring's emperor and was given the title, "Peerless Rikishi." The fifth representative for Humanity: Raiden Tameemon. As Humanity's crowds cheer, Raiden notes how they have a full house and says that no matter the era, people love this kind of stuff.
After agreeing with him, Heimdall begins to introduce the fifth representative for the Gods.
As the Gods in the stands question who they'll send out to win this round, the arena begins rumbling. Suddenly, a horde of elephants come out of the Gods' entrance. Heimdall says that after creation, there is destruction and after that, there is rebirth. It could be said the entire world is this man's plaything. Heimdall asks the Humans what they desire and orders them to ask this God for anything they want. Realizing who's coming up, many Hindus begin kneeling and praying. As the God rides on an elephant, Heimdall says that there is no point in arguing or reasoning, for he'll simply destroy anyone who doesn't interest him. As the God jumps off the elephant and lands on the ground, Heimdall calls him the "Cosmos' Bhairava." As he sighs about how he finally gets to go up, the fifth representative for the Gods turns out to be Shiva. Pointing at Raiden, Shiva says it's time for him to destroy. Round 5 of Ragnarok – Shiva vs. Raiden Tameemon.
