Sympathetic Resonance is the 40th chapter of the "Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok" manga series.
Summary[]
As Ares looks on wide-eyed, Heimdall declares that Raiden Tameemon's Yatagarasu has absolutely demolished Shiva the Destroyer as the Hindu God of Destruction lies on his back, both of his upper arms gone, leaving him with only his lower right arm. Crying, Kajinosuke Tanikaze exclaims Raiden has finally beaten him and as Humanity cheers, the Gods despair over Shiva's supposed defeat. Göll says they did it but both her and Brunhilde are shocked to see Shiva stand back up, much to the relief of his wives and son. As the Gods cheer, Ares is in disbelief that Raiden was able to blow Shiva's arms clean off. Zeus guesses that, if Shiva had taken that blow with his head, it would've been smashed to bits and mentions how the heel of Raiden's palm sent out such a powerful shockwave, that it even held back sound.

Raiden Tameemon suffers the consequences of having pushed his muscles to the limit
Hermes notes that while that may not have been enough to kill Shiva, he would've still taken some considerable damage. Spitting out blood and a tooth, Shiva inwardly groans about how he can barely stand. Humanity encourage Raiden to finish Shiva off, only for them and Shiva to be shocked to see Raiden's body convulse and begin to spurt out blood from random areas.
Göll questions what happened and Brunhilde reveals it was recoil. Raiden moved his muscles far too fast and it placed an abnormal level of strain on Raiden's system. His body couldn't handle it and as a result, has started to break down. Noting Thrud's Supramuscular Exoskeletal Mawashi Belt is barely holding Raiden's body together, Brunhilde calls it a miracle that Raiden can even stand.

"You really are a dummy... But... That's why... you're the man I fell in love with!"
As Raiden continues bleeding, Genpaku Sugita remarks on how his insides have taken a beating and Hokusai Katsushika says that Raiden's muscles are crying out in pain. As Raiden struggles to stay standing, Thrud asks if Raiden is okay. Looking at his hand, Raiden confirms to himself that sumo really is fun. Raiden then asks Thrud to keep moving his muscles. Thrud initially refuses since if she does, his flesh and guts will all be crushed to a pulp. Raiden says he knows but points out that this won't be enough to take down Shiva before talking about how he can finally do the sumo that's let him down for so long. Smiling, he declares he wants to risk his body, his life on this, for he is a rikishi. Thrud calls him a dummy before asserting that is why she fell in love with him. She warns him she'll go all the way and Raiden thanks her. When the sumo wrestlers also say thanks, Shiva points out that Raiden is carrying a heavy burden.
He then feels a familiar breeze and looks back to see Rudra. Shiva is surprised to see that Rudra came to watch before also noticing the other Hindu Gods praying for him. Turning back, Shiva says he has his own burdens too and that since all 1116 of them decided to believe in a lazy and unreliable guy like him, he can't let them down, for he is the peak of Svarga.

Shiva unveils his secret weapon: Tandava Karma
The two combatants smile at each other before Shiva decides to push himself past the limit. He suddenly digs his fingers into his chest and wonders what will happen now, since this is also his first time seeing it. Vishnu points out that Shiva is directly stimulating his atman and forcing his heart to beat even faster. Heimdall notices that Shiva's blue skin is turning red. As Shiva opens all five of his eyes, his body begins briefly shining before erupting in a pillar of fire that burns away the tsuriyane above. It is written in the Vedas: "When the time is fulfilled, Lord Shiva will dance the Tandava and bring about the destruction of the world." However, there is more to that legend. "Then Shiva will burn his own body and recreate the world from its ashes." That is what is known as Tandava Karma. Shiva is shown to have red skin and his body is covered with flames. Shiva invites Raiden to dance until they burn up and Raiden calls him a pain.
In a strange turn of fate, the man and God who stood at the peak of their respective societies had penetrated the deepest secrets of their martial arts at the same time. As the two charge at each other, Brunhilde notes that the two are very similar and asserts that the more burdened by emotions one is, the stronger one becomes.
