Summary[]
Heimdall calls Zerofuku down for the count already as the God of Misfortune continues coughing from Buddha's kick. Buddha tells Zerofuku to get up already, telling him to start this fight for real. The Gods call Buddha a coward for attacking when Zerofuku's guard was down while Humanity, more specifically, Buddhist monks, are unsure about Buddha taking his opponent by surprise. Someone says, "The law is harsh but it is the law."
It is then revealed to be Socrates, who says Buddha is pretty ruthless, despite being part of the Four Sages. The other two sages, Confucius and Jesus, stand next to Socrates.
While Socrates points out that Buddha is quick to a scrap, Jesus remains silent.
Confucius says, "Repay evil with evil." and admits that this is getting his blood pumping, though he prefers not to say it too loud in front of his pupils. With Zerofuku still on the ground, Buddha asks if he's even gonna fight or not. After hacking up a bit of blood, Zerofuku complains about being hurt and questions why he has to feel so much pain. When tendrils of Zerofuku's Divine Weapon writhe, Göll exclaims that it seems like it's alive. After a few moments, Zerofuku finally launches an attack and swings his large axe forward.
However, Buddha dodges the attack with ease, much to Zerofuku's confusion. As Confucius yells that he's going all in, Zerofuku unleashes a number of swings, only for Buddha to dodge each and every attack that Zerofuku attempts. After whining about how this only happens to him, Zerofuku continues to wildly swing but Buddha calmly evades each one.
As they watch, the Gods comment on how Zerofuku is getting juked and one even suggests that Bishamonten should've gone up instead of Zerofuku. Huffing, Zerofuku complains about not being able to hit Buddha and yells out that he is in so much misery. The axe that he's wielding begins shifting and eyes are created along the tendrils surrounding the hilt. Both Humanity and the Gods react with fear, and Hermes calls this an interesting development. In disbelief, Ares questions if he's just imagining that Zerofuku's Divine Weapon grew bigger. Zeus comes back in and tells Ares he isn't imagining things. Zerofuku's Divine Weapon absorbs all the misery that Zerofuku feels and ends up becoming larger and more destructive as a result, which is why it is called the Misery Cleaver. As he says this, sharp and narrow blades extend out along the axe's handle, and veins appear on the blade. Smirking, Hermes calls it an unconventional weapon. Zerofuku swings the Misery Cleaver once more. Though Buddha dodges, when the Misery Cleaver cuts into the ground, it continues to cut the ground and even cuts into the Gods' section of the crowd. As Zerofuku yells about missing, Brunhilde explains to Göll that even dodging is considered to be misery to Zerofuku, meaning the more Buddha dodges, the stronger Zerofuku's weapon will become.
After Buddha goes into the air to dodge another strike, Zerofuku preemptively aims at his landing spot, only for Buddha to throw his Divine Weapon into the air and narrowly dodge the Misery Cleaver before performing a handstand and catching his weapon.
He praises Zerofuku for having a cool weapon and Göll is in shock at how seemingly good Buddha's reflexes are. Brunhilde tells Göll to look at Buddha's actions closer and Göll notices that Buddha makes a move before Zerofuku even begins to attack. Brunhilde says that Buddha already knows what moves Zerofuku will make. Göll asks if this is similar to Kojiro Sasaki's Senju Musō but Brunhilde explains that what Kojiro did against Poseidon was ultimately predicting what moves he was gonna make next, based on years and years of experience. What Buddha uses is slightly different: future-vision. She reveals that it is a state that only those enlightened can ever achieve: Pure Enlightenment Eighth Consciousness.
With the shapes of golden lotuses in his eyes, Buddha easily dodges another one of Zerofuku's attacks. Zerofuku questions what's happening as he thought he had Buddha just now. After Zerofuku complains about Buddha only dodging, Buddha suddenly charges in and slams the end of his Divine Weapon into Zerofuku's jaw. He tells Zerofuku that he'll only make a move if he wants to. After Buddha dodges yet another attack, Göll calls his ability cool and Brunhilde adds that he can only really see a moment ahead in the future. Holding his jaw, Zerofuku asks Buddha why he can't hit him and Buddha admits that he's been sneaking a peek into the future.
Realizing this means that Buddha knew what kind of attacks were coming all this time, Zerofuku calls him a cheater and unleashes a frenzy of swings. Buddha initially dodges before again, slamming the end of his Divine Weapon into Zerofuku's chest. When Heimdall declares that Zerofuku can do nothing against the Enlightened One, Humanity's section begins cheering for Buddha. Socrates notes that he's putting on a show while Confucius compares Buddha's actions to "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." As the crowd keeps cheering, Zerofuku mumbles about how this is the same as all those years ago – everyone is putting all their attention onto Buddha while ignoring him. After letting out an endless stream of curses, Zerofuku begins crying blood and states that he's miserable. Buddha pauses and uses his Pure Enlightenment Eighth Consciousness to see what will happen now, only to nervously break into a sweat and call Zerofuku's next attack cheating.
As Göll and Brunhilde notice Buddha stopped moving, Zerofuku declares he's never been this miserable before and insists he's in the pit of misery as his Misery Cleaver turns into a large, six-headed axe, which astonishes everyone. Brunhilde guesses this must be why Buddha stopped moving and says that when one sees an inevitable future, they lose all hope. Just as Zerofuku is about to bring down his weapon, Buddha smiles and says "Turn about, Six Realms." The prayer wheel on his Divine Weapon begins spinning and releasing scrolls of scriptures that surround the weapon. It's too late though, as Zerofuku fully brings down his weapon and seemingly crushes Buddha into the ground. A satisfied Zerofuku says that this is divine retribution, only to notice something. It is then revealed that Buddha summoned Fourth Realm: Asura Realm, Eleven-Faced Kannon – Ahimsa and the shield was able to completely block against Zerofuku's Misery Cleaver. Buddha tells Zerofuku not to worry as he'll help him through his puberty, which only enrages the God of Misfortune.
