Exuberance is the 6th chapter of the "Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok" manga series.
Summary[]

A young Lü Bu is fascinated by a bolt of lightning destroying a tree
Lü Bu recalls how, when he was a child, he saw lightning break a huge tree. Yet he felt no fear. The only thought that came to him was that there was someone extraordinary in the skies. In the present, Hermes wonders if letting Lü Bu ride Red Hare is alright but Zeus tells him to look closer.
With Lü Bu's feet gripping onto Red Hare, Zeus argues that the horse has become an extension of Lü Bu himself. Lü Bu requests for Red Hare to lend his life to him in this moment and Red Hare agrees to, beginning to charge at Thor. As Red Hare charges, Lü Bu grasps the tip of his Sky Piercer with his knuckles and Chen Gong realizes what that means. In the past, Lü Bu repeatedly swings his halberd by the tip over 36,000 times on top of a mountain. Lü Bu was a man who knew his own limits yet continued to search for his weapon's limit. Even when his halberd would break from the repeated swings, Lü Bu would simply pick up another and keep going. Like a maiden in search of love, Lü Bu dreamt of the moment he'd meet the ultimate opponent. In preparation for that, Lü Bu swung his halberd many times.

Lü Bu learning Sky Eater
Eventually months and years would pass, until one fateful day, when Lü Bu swung his halberd with so much force, it completely split the sky open and parted the clouds (though it also broke the halberd in the process). Lü Bu's superhuman strength and grip, combined with the halberd's centrifugal force, gave birth to his ultimate technique. However, Lü Bu knew that there would be none he would meet that could take its might and so, the lonely technique was called Sky Eater.

Lü Bu's arms break due to being overpowered by Thor's Geirröd, Awakened Thunder Hammer
In the present, wiping his tears, Chen Gong realizes that Lü Bu has finally met the one worthy of being called his rival. As Lü Bu prepares Sky Eater, Thor admits that the Humans have piqued his interest. Realizing Mjolnir is excited too, Thor decides to get going and flings Mjolnir into the air. Gripping onto Red Hare so hard, the horse spits out blood, Lü Bu instinctively knew that this next move would be the strongest in his entire life. Catching Mjolnir and running an electrical current through it, Thor also felt the same way. Lü Bu then uses Sky Eater and clashes against Thor's Geirröd, Awakened Thunder Hammer. The result causes a giant shockwave. Göll and Chen Gong look to see the aftermath and horrifyingly witness Lü Bu's Sky Piercer shattered and his left arm gone, with his right arm hanging by bits of flesh.

Thor is proclaimed the winner of the First Round of Ragnarok
The Sky Piercer turns back into an injured and unconscious Randgriz, who falls to the floor.
Biting off his right arm, Lü Bu looks up to the sky and is satisfied, as he gave it all he had. He urges Red Hare to charge again and Red Hare obliges.
As they approach Thor, Lü Bu smiles and realizes this must be what true joy is. Smiling back, Thor then proceeds to behead Lü Bu, killing him. As Thor touches the first wound Lü Bu dealt on him, Heimdall declares Round 1 over.
With a time of 16 minutes and 28 seconds, Round 1 of Ragnarok ends with Thor's victory, meaning the Gods get the first win.
