Dark vs. Light is the 68th chapter of the "Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok" manga series.
Summary[]
The fighting stage for the Valhalla Arena has been completely changed. The entire stage is a large gorge with a hexagonal column located in the middle. On each corner of the hexagonal column are six pillars that have the statues of gargoyles situated on them.

Heimdall presents the Eighth Round astride a skull-shaped means of transport
Riding a very small aircraft with a skull on the front, Heimdall says that the arena's makeover is finally complete. On the Gods' side, Hermes and Ares watch from the top VIP room, Odin and Loki watch from the middle VIP room and Aphrodite watches from the bottom VIP room, with Zeus missing. Kojiro Sasaki, Hrist, Soji Okita and Isami Kondo all watch from Soji's room.
Jack the Ripper and Hlökk watch from Jack's room. As Brunhilde and Göll watch from the VIP room on the Humans' side, Heimdall says that for Round 8, the score is currently three wins for the Gods and four wins for mankind. For the first time in history, the Gods have given up the lead to the Humans but to do away with that disgrace, Heimdall declares the eighth representative for the Gods has come from Hell. With the entrance on the Gods' side being adorned with the symbol of a fly, the Gods begin getting frightened as they know who it is.
As the God walks to the entrance with his cane, Heimdall says he has come to bring despair to the defiant Human race, calling him a cursed God. The entrance on the Gods' side suddenly bursts open from the other side. Sitting atop the roof of Brunhilde's viewing room, Michel Nostradamus observes how "goth boy" is getting heated up, mockingly saying he's so scared. Heimdall says that this God was spawned from utter darkness.

Beelzebub enters the arena for the Eighth Round
As Heimdall questions if his hands will bring forth prosperity or ruin, the God reaches the end of his entrance. From there, a bridge constructs itself and connects to the hexagonal column in the middle of the stage. As the God walks across, Heimdall wonders if his mouth will devour God or man. Multiple floating skulls appear on either side of the God and are set ablaze as Heimdall says, of the Seven Deadly Sins, he is the Priest of Gluttony and the Ruler of Evil Spirits. Even the Gods fear and revile his cursed power and now, that power will finally be unleashed. Heimdall says mankind trembles in fear of him and have called him thus: the Lord of the Flies. Upon hearing that, the Humans begin getting scared and while holding a cross, a Christian clergyman exclaims the devil is here. Now on the fighting stage, he slams down his cane as the eighth representative for the Gods is shown to be Beelzebub. The Gods are unnerved and one harshly says that nothing changes the fact that he looks like a total creep.

Göll asks Brunhilde why the Gods hate Beelzebub, and Brunhilde specifies that this is the kind of God Beelzebub is
The Gods whisper to each other about how any God that gets involved with him will encounter misfortune. One says it must be the end of the world if they have to rely on someone like him. Another God guesses there's no high road when it comes to wiping out Humanity. Göll can tell the Gods have a weird mood about them and points out how they hate Beelzebub a little too much. Brunhilde tells Göll that is the sort of God Beelzebub is. Heimdall wants to introduce the Human who will go up against the Lord of the Flies, the dark God from Hell. A bridge connects to the hexagonal column and the entrance on Humanity's side, which is labelled with the design of a Tesla coil, opens up to reveal no-one there.

Nikola Tesla uses a launch pad to flashily appear in the arena
Heimdall and the Humans are confused when a large amount of electricity bursts out of the entrance, surprising the Humans and Göll while Brunhilde and Beelzebub are left unfazed. Heimdall complains about how all the Human fighters are like this before accepting the challenge. Heimdall says the eighth representative for Humanity is the "Child of Light," who was born in the midst of a stormy thunderous night. As his name suggests, Heimdall calls him the man who illuminated the whole of Earth as it's shown that there's an electronic ramp leading up to Humanity's side of the entrance. As the Human steps onto a platform, Heimdall says that his intellect, far beyond the limits of man, has brought forth a new sort of magic, called science.

Nikola Tesla enters the arena for the Eighth Round
A fan in his robotic left arm whirs and generates electricity. The Human then uses that electricity to power the platform he's on to go up the ramp. As the Human is launched off the platform and flies through the air into the arena, Heimdall asserts that from imagination, he created and from illusions, he brought forth the truth. The Gods and Humans are shocked while Thomas Edison, Isaac Newton, Marie Curie, Albert Einstein, Galileo Galilei and Alfred Nobel smile. Heimdall says that he was the man who tried to bring Humanity closer to the Gods. As he lands on the stage, Heimdall reveals the people viewed him with awe and reverence, calling him the only sorcerer in all of Human history. As electricity showers down around him, Heimdall reveals the eighth representative for Humanity is Nikola Tesla, who uses the electricity he's creating to spell out his own name, thanks to his Völundr – Super Automaton β. The Humans are in awe of Tesla's robotic suit and cheer him on. The bridges leading to each entrance retract and the flaming skulls surround the hexagonal column in a circular formation.

Nikola Tesla inspects Beelzebub, hoping that theirs will be a good match
Heimdall questions if the Ruler of Darkness will paint mankind's budding ambition black or if the sorcerer's light will pierce through the dark. Round 8 of Ragnarok – Beelzebub vs. Nikola Tesla. Heimdall begins the fight and immediately after, Tesla approaches Beelzebub, much to everyone's surprise. As Beelzebub keeps looking down, Tesla observes him from many angles and ends up in front of Beelzebub, saying he looks far different from what the references all said. Smiling, Tesla decides this will make for some wonderful material. Göll questions what he's doing and Brunhilde guesses it must be the so-called "unbridled curiosity of a scientist".
Beelzebub apologizes to Tesla as he won't be getting a wonderful fight – this will simply end with Tesla being destroyed. Tesla guesses Beelzebub wants to prevail in Ragnarok and destroy Humanity. To that, Tesla says, "No. Non. Nein." Tesla calls destruction a foolish act, the very abandonment of creation itself. That is something even the Humans understand, as unripe as they are. Their dirt-stained trial and error, the sublimely beautiful achievements of their knowledge and their powerful wills, envisioning the future.

Nikola Tesla dodges an unknown attack launched by Beelzebub
With that driving force, Tesla says that the Human race will continue to constantly create and that is something that not even the Gods can stop. Beelzebub questions why "creation" or "progress" matter, deciding to just get to the killing. Suddenly, a crack appears on the ground where the staff is touching it. The crack then extends and begins making its way towards Tesla. Tesla moves out of the way as the crack reaches a pillar and completely destroys it. Heimdall announces what Beelzebub just did and adds that without stirring, Beelzebub made an attack that was practically like magic. Looking at what happened to the pillar, Tesla repeats the fact that Heimdall called it magic and says "No. Non. Nein." Tesla says what Beelzebub did just now isn't magic: it's science.
