Progression is the 76th chapter of the "Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok" manga series.
Summary[]
Heimdall points out that Humanity's cheers are overflowing. Even in a hopeless situation like this, Humanity is united with the determination to challenge the Gods themselves. In her room, floating towards the TV, Hlökk compliments Nikola Tesla for being such a hopeful guy. She insists you never know what will happen as long as you don't give up and encourages Göndul to keep at it.

Jack explains to Hlökk that Tesla's problem is how to get through Beelzebub's defense
Sipping some tea, Jack the Ripper says the issue is how Tesla will shatter Beelzebub's shield and guesses it will be quite tricky. As the Super Tesla Coil on Tesla's chest spins around and electricity wraps around Super Automaton β, Heimdall declares Tesla is beaten, battered and bruised yet is still ready to wring out the last vestiges of his strength.

Tesla attacks Beelzebub with Plasma Pulse Punch Moebius to break through his defense
Both crowds encourage their representatives as Tesla charges in and swings a right hook, which Beelzebub blocks with Sorath Samekh. As Heimdall catches Tesla about to attack with a left hook next, Tesla says if one doesn't work, he'll just have to keep hitting Beelzebub until it does. After landing his left hook against Beelzebub's barrier, Tesla attacks again with his right and follows it up with another left.
He initiates Plasma Pulse Punch Moebius, delivering an onslaught of punches that Beelzebub holds back. Kojiro Sasaki exclaims about how fast Tesla is and Soji Okita admits he can't see when one punch ends and when the next begins. Both Jack and Hlökk believe this could work as Beelzebub is forced to support his left hand with his right. Heimdall is surprised Beelzebub has switched entirely to defense and the scientists all sweat over what Tesla is aiming for, as Thomas Edison calls it a gamble.

Zeus notices that Adamantine is betting a lot on Beelzebub and warns him that slowly, the consequences of the vibrations will kill Beelzebub
With Beelzebub having no room to breathe against Tesla's unceasing barrage, Heimdall declares Tesla is an unstoppable force and questions if he plans to crush Beelzebub's shield with brute force. Adamantine insists Tesla can't keep going forever. The second he runs out of power, Adamantine is confident that he'll be devoured by Beelzebub. Zeus doesn't think he should bet too heavily on Beelzebub before pointing out Beelzebub is the same as Tesla right now: his body can't sustain those vibrations forever without breaking down. Gritting his teeth, Adamantine yells at Beelzebub to not lose, promising to kill him if he dies.

Brunhilde and Göll supports Tesla as he uses PPP∞
The kids in Humanity's crowd keep cheering Tesla on, and both Brunhilde and Göll want him to keep at it. The Gods tell Beelzebub to stay strong as once Tesla exhausts his strength, it'll be his victory. As Tesla keeps going, Loki laughs over how hot this battle is getting. Dane Tesla displays some worry and Aphrodite compliments how beautiful Tesla's light is.
Heimdall questions if the spear of Humanity's greatest scientist will break through or if the shield of the strongest God of Helheim will repel it as the tenacity of both Humanity and the Gods spark the entire arena. Looking on at Tesla, Galileo Galilei states science and divinity are fighting on even ground, and Marie Curie guesses that means their endless trial and error weren't in vain. Edison wishes Tesla to keep going as he is proof that their pride—their science—can even reach the Gods.
The Lord of the Flies, who chipped away at his own body for the sake of victory, and Human History's One and Only Sorcerer, who sought to surpass the Gods via science. The one who reached his limits first was none other than Nikola Tesla.

Tesla experiences the aftereffects of Chaos
All of a sudden, Tesla pauses and spits out blood. Tesla questions if this is lingering damage from Chaos and figures out that those vibrations can cause incredible internal damage too. Tesla surmises what's happening to him now is a by-product of their attacks canceling each other out: every time he made physical contact with Beelzebub's vibrations, he unknowingly caused more of an impact on himself. Asserting this battle is interesting, Tesla takes a step forward and is about to resume his attack when Beelzebub also takes a step forward and directly clashes his barrier against Tesla's fist, knocking it back. Humanity's crowd think it's bad that Beelzebub has stopped Tesla's barrage as Beelzebub raises his right hand, strengthening his vibration blade.

Tesla tries to finish Beelzebub off with Plasma Pulse Punch Cross
As Tesla falls back, Beelzebub yells this is the end but Tesla smirks about how it's time and stops himself from falling down by putting his left hand on the ground. He performs Plasma Pulse Punch Jet, releasing electricity from his left hand to propel himself forward. Just as Tesla aims to punch Beelzebub with his right fist, the Lord of the Flies prepares Sorath Samekh once more. Smiling, Tesla thanks the Gods as science can progress once again. The Super Tesla Coil shines before Tesla's right arm suddenly disappears before he makes contact with Sorath Samekh. This causes both the audience and Beelzebub to be taken aback. Tesla keeps up a smile as something starts to appear behind Beelzebub. It turns out to be Tesla's severed right fist and as Beelzebub turns to look at it coming towards him, Zeus can't believe that Tesla, in an instant, only teleported his right arm. Beelzebub sees a right fist was coming up behind him and a left fist was charging in from the front. In other words, he was caught in an inescapable pincer attack: Plasma Pulse Punch Cross.

Beelzebub fatally wounds Tesla with Sorath Resh
After Beelzebub looks back at Tesla, the fighters scream before Beelzebub redirects Tesla's right fist with the Staff of Apomyius in his left hand while lunging his right hand forward, grazing it against Tesla's arm. As Tesla's severed right fist and the Staff of Apomyius fall to the floor, it's revealed Beelzebub used Sorath Resh and pierced through the Super Automaton β with two fingers. As Göll, Dane and Edison all look shocked, Beelzebub extends his vibration blade through his two fingers, crushing Tesla's heart. As blood falls to the ground and Beelzebub huffs, the last Super Tesla Coil shatters. Tesla assumes Beelzebub noticed what his plan was and sighs about how he thought it was a good idea but it turned out he was naive. Tesla says Beelzebub was one step ahead of him but Beelzebub insists he simply believed in him. He knew there was no way someone such as him would debase this to a simple contest of strength. Tesla is flattered before Beelzebub retracts his fingers. Dane shouts out for Tesla as he continues to stay standing while Beelzebub walks away.

Tesla is sent to Niflhel as he urges Humanity to move forward and evolve
As Heimdall, Hermes, Ares, Loki and both crowds watch, Tesla instructs Humanity to keep their heads up as in this very battle, they have evolved yet again. As long as they refuse to give up in both science and Humanity, Ragnarok will not befall upon them. Tesla's body starts to turn to dust and he falters, only to be supported by Göndul. As the two smile at each other, Göll shouts for her sister while Dane says his brother's name. Tesla tells Humanity to keep looking forward, to never stop moving and to continue to progress before he and Göndul fully disappear. Jack sets his cup down as Hlökk cries. Soji and Isami look deflated as Kojiro pats Hrist's shoulder. Even though they're crying, Humanity still cheer on Tesla. Picking up the Staff of Apomyius and walking towards the exit, Beelzebub looks at the skull and tells Hades that he got in his way once again. With a time of 18 minutes and 6 seconds, the winner of Round 8 of Ragnarok is Beelzebub, giving the Gods their fourth win and tying the score once more.
