Soji about to die

Soji left on the verge of death

Heimdall announces the victor of the peak of the sword versus sword is Humanity's strongest Manslayer, Soji Okita, much to the joy of the Human audience. However, Heimdall notices that Soji is still lying on the ground unconscious, causing a few of the Humans to worry. The Gods question if Soji is about to die and go to Niflhel, even though he won. Brunhilde and Göll look at the monitor displaying Soji with worry as the latter calls for him and Skalmöld.

The Shinsengumi, having left the audience, all come out of one of the entrances into the stage and run to Soji, with Isami Kondo picking him up. Heisuke Todo urges Soji to get ahold of himself when Isami realizes he isn't breathing. Kai Shimada exclaims that can't be, and Heisuke desperately calls out to him and open his eyes.

Izanagi heals Soji

An aura comes out of Izanagi and surrounds Soji

Approaching the group that is around Soji, Izanagi requests they step aside and notes that Soji is quite the Human for winning against a God. Wondering who he is, Shinpachi Nagakura insists to Izanagi that the fight is already over but Izanagi kneels down and outstretches his scarred hand out to Soji, insisting he cannot allow him to die, for Susano'o no Mikoto's sake. With a strange aura covering Izanagi's hand, Shinpachi asks him what he's doing but is surprised when Isami lays Soji back on the ground, willing to let Izanagi do what he wants. The aura expands from Izanagi's body to surround Soji's body. Izanagi chants and causes a bright light to begin shining from their bodies, making all the Gods question what Izanagi is doing.

Izanagi bows to the Shinsengumi

Izanagi bows his head to the Shinsengumi out of gratitude

As Amaterasu Okami and Tsukuyomi no Mikoto look at him with shock, Izanagi invokes Onogoro, making Soji's body pulsate and cracking the bone of his right pinky. Soji begins to breathe again and his katana turns back into Skalmöld, surprising even Göll and Brunhilde that she's okay too. Isami picks Soji back up and Skalmöld looks over him with the rest of the Shinsengumi. Izanagi says neither Soji nor Skalmöld's lives are in danger anymore, though he sighs about how they should still receive proper medical attention. Even the Gods are shocked that Izanagi was able to bring Soji back to life. With the Shinsengumi overjoyed at Soji's survival, Izanagi begins to take his leave when Isami wonders why he helped them. Izanagi recalls how Susano'o had truly believed it was worth it to gamble his life on this fight, allowing him to attain the peak of swordsmanship, and Izanagi believes that was due to Soji, the Human who Susano'o yearned for, and the man who refused to surrender or yield.

Soji claims Onigo is dead

Soji reveals the Demon Child is now gone

Giving a slight bow to them, Izanagi thanks the Shinsengumi in place of Susano'o. Once more, the Gods are surprised by Izanagi's actions as Zeus and Odin watch in silence. Izanagi smiles about how this fight must have been Susano'o's greatest desire as he was a God who learned from Humanity to the very end. Amaterasu smiles and wipes her tears as Tsukuyomi steels himself. As Izanagi bids farewell, the Shinsengumi all bow back to him. Soji opens his eyes and he addresses everyone, catching all of their attention. Soji asks Isami how his fight was and Isami affirms to him that it was the fight of a true samurai. Soji feels glad to hear that but brings up how he can't hear the Demon Child's voice anymore. The Demon Child left him here and took off on his own, even though the two of them promised to die together. Soji tearily apologizes as he doesn't think he can fight anymore. Isami goes over how he took everything of his sword and put it all into the ultimate fight. Hugging him, Isami assures Soji that he did well and doesn't have to fight anymore, much to Soji's joy.

Ares can't understand how Soji surived the last attack

Ares is angered, unable to understand how Soji survived

Watching them, a frustrated Ares rants about how this is unacceptable and points out Susano'o's final attack hit Soji dead-on. The damage should've been so steep that he should've died instantly. Picking Hermes up by the collar, Ares demands to know why Soji survived. Hermes recalls how at the exact moment Soji took Susano'o's Musouken, he drew back ever so slightly, which made Susano'o's strike hit a hair off-target. That slight movement made the invisible slash miss his heart and had allowed Soji to avoid instant death. Ares questions how someone avoids an invisible sword and Hermes tells him that Soji had seen Susano'o use it once before. Having been a swordsman who's seen countless killing blows come his way, Hermes bets just seeing it once was sufficient enough for Soji to accomplish it.

Zeus gets reminded that Humanity is strong

Zeus is reminded of the strength of Humanity

As Ares comes to understand how he escaped death, Zeus says what was most surprising of all was Soji's final gambit. Though a slash and a thrust are different techniques, his final attack was the same as Susano'o's Ama no Magaeshi. Ares can't accept a Human was able to use a technique of the Gods but Zeus argues it wasn't Soji alone. Rather, the technique was made possible by all of Humanity, through their own creation of swordsmanship. Zeus feels as if the Gods have been reminded of something. To grow within the midst of death and to evolve within the thick of despair, is what it means to be Human. Isami carries Soji on his back as he and the rest of the Shinsengumi, along with Skalmöld, leave the stage.

Nostradamus kidnaps Göll

Nostradamus knocks out Göll

A happy Göll celebrates their victory in Round 10 and tries to mention to Brunhilde that they can save Humanity with two more wins, only to notice her big sister has already left, frustrating her. Heimdall says the score is 5-5 and as it approaches its end, Ragnarok can still be anyone's game at this point. Stomping in a hallway, Göll complains about how much Brunhilde ditches her and mutters about how she's still one of the Valkyries, even if she's not that helpful, wishing Brunhilde would rely on her more. Peering out of a wall, Brunhilde tells Göll she does rely on her. Taken aback, Göll runs up to her and she asks her sister what she is doing here. Brunhilde claims she wants Göll to meet her most important person but when Göll asks her who that is, "Brunhilde" stifles her laughter and Göll realizes she's just a hologram. Sniggering nearby, Michel Nostradamus takes out a perfume and sprays Göll with it, tauntingly telling her she's too easy to trick and that she shouldn't fall for stuff like this. Göll recognizes him but faints as she says Brunhilde's name.

Nostradamus greets Andras and Flauros

Flauros and Andras allow a hooded Nostradamus into a cell block

Inside her room, Brunhilde looks over the remaining Einherjar: Sakata Kintoki, Simo Häyhä, Grigori Rasputin and Michel Nostradamus. On the Gods' side, there's Anubis, Loki and Odin. Having made it this far, Brunhilde mutters about getting to six wins before slamming her fists down, believing Odin won't remain a spectator and will have to take his place as a fighter if that happens. Gritting her teeth and closing her eyes, Brunhilde insists she needs to do just a bit more and she'll see Siegfried again. In Helheim, down in Tartarus, a cloaked figure goes through the entrance, tugging along a medicinal cart as two Demon guards stand by the doors. Humming a tune to themself, the figure ends up in a large cavern with numerous floating cubes in the air. The figure holds up an amulet to a scanner, causing one of the cubes to come down. The figure stands atop the cube as it levitates down onto a different ledge with a different set of doors.

Göll meets Siegfried

Göll is taken by Nostradamus to see Siegfried

Opening the doors for the figure, Flauros and Andras greet them and give praise to them for their fantastic work. As the figure goes down a hallway of cells, they pass by a sign that says there will be no entry with no exceptions, with posters specifically showing Buddha, Kintoki and Beelzebub in particular. The figure reaches a certain cell and uses their amulet to open up a gap in the bars to enter the cell. Taking the hood off, Nostradamus apologizes for being late as security is real tight down here, calling it a major pain. Especially since it seems like someone's been sniffing around here lately. Nostradamus notes it would be a real pain if they lumped him in with the others, even though he's here for the prisoner's medical care.

Remarking it sounds stressful, the prisoner asks if it made it here safely and Nostradamus opens his medicinal cart, showing a tied-up Göll, whose mouth is bound. Snapping his finger to release the bindings off her, Nostradamus apologizes before he gets kicked in the face by Göll, who swears to never forgive him. Nostradamus tells her to calm down and Göll asks where they are. Nostradamus reminds her that he'd said he wanted her to meet Brunhilde's most important person and introduces her to his dear friend and Brunhilde's lover: the Dragon-Slaying Hero. Looking to where Nostradamus is gesturing, Göll gazes at a crucified Siegfried. Siegfried greets Göll casually as Göll exclaims his name out of total bewilderment.
