Heracles and Göll greet up

Göll notes that humanity won their first fight and its 2-on-1 now. Brunhilde confirms, but states the gods will not allow themselves to lose a second fight in a row and will use someone strong. Göll wonders who that would be when Heracles appears and states its him, emitting an aura of strength. Göll then jumps on Heracles' arms, happy to see him.

Heracles telling Loki he won't be losing

Heracles reveals to Loki that he is against the extermination of Humanity, but still intends to win his match

As he notes it's his turn next match, Brunhilde gets on her knees and wishes him luck. After Heracles leaves, Loki sneaks behind him and mentions his closeness with the Valkyries. Loki guesses it's because he and the Valkyries are half-breed demigods. Heracles smiles and states that humans are worthy opponents, and as a champion of the gods and a warrior, it is his duty to fight a worthy battle. However, he make it clear that he is against the elimination of mankind, and though he has no intention of losing, he will petition for mankind to be saved. Loki notes he isn't sure on which side he is.

Brunhilde has already chosen Heracles' opponent

Brunhilde reveals to Göll that she has already chosen the most disgusting Human of all, Jack the Ripper, as Heracles' opponent

Heracles leaves, stating he is on the side of the righteous. Göll isn't sure of which side she will be cheering on. She wonders who can even face Heracles and Brunhilde states its has been already decided. It's a human she hates, a scum among scumbags. Hearing that, Göll realizes about who is Brunhilde speaking of, the sadistic murderer, Jack the Ripper. The arena is transformed into a section of 19th Century London, and the fight between Heracles and Jack the Ripper is about to begin.

Heimdall notes that Heracles is a man who became a god, a symbol of justice, while Jack the Ripper is the most diabolical man to have lived and the incarnation of evil. The clash will be a true battle of good versus evil.

Heracles Angry anime

Heracles furious at the choice of his opponent

Heracles is angry as Lü Bu, Adam and Kojiro Sasaki were all men worthy of representing mankind and their fight impressed the gods, yet he has to fight a serial killer, who killed innocent maidens. Mankind themselves wonder on whose side their should cheer. Some wonder who is Jack and Arthur Conan Doyle explains that he is a horrific murderer who in the late 1800s had murdered at least five prostitutes in the slums of London. They tried capturing him, but couldn't find a single lead. Arthur notes that even his Sherlock Holmes couldn't solve those murders.

Jack reveals his scissors as Völundr

Jack the Ripper reveals his giant scissors as Völundr

Heracles proposes to Jack to bow his head and concede; if he does, he will try convincing Zeus to spare him from Niflhel, the obliteration of his soul. Jack bows and thanks Heracles for accepting to duel in his home of London and for his offer of mercy. However, he can't accept, since no matter how great is the chance of defeat, if a duel has been proposed, it must be accepted. Jack then draws out two large scissor blades and connects them into a large scissor, noting it's his Völundr. He then cuts a lamp post, noting how sharp his weapon is.

Jack offering Heracles some tea

Jack the Ripper drinks some tea during the battle and offers some to Heracles

Heracles accepts and notes he will use his full power to fight him. In that moment, Jack smiles and runs away. Seeing Jack running, Heracles gets angry and chases him. Turning the corner, he finds Jack sitting at a café shop and pouring some tea. Jack apologizes and states it's tea time and as a gentleman, he always needs to find some time for tea. He offers Heracles tea, but Heracles tells him to pick up his weapon. As Jack ignores him, Heracles moves towards him, but stop as he sees a thread in front of his eyes.

Annoyed, he pulls it, inadvertently activating a trap; numerous sharp blades start falling on Heracles, but he bounces them off with his muscles, breaking or bending the blades.

Scissors Broken anime

Jack the Ripper's giant scissors are destroyed by Heracles

Heracles wonders if Brunhilde didn't tell him that blades made by mortal hands can't even scratch the gods. Jack states it's his nature to test things before he believes them. Jack then pulls out a gun and fires a zipline, pulling himself up the building. Heracles jumps and swings his club at Jack, who uses his scissors to block the attack, but the scissors get shattered. Heimdall notes that Jack lost his Völundr and mankind start panicking, noting they knew Jack would lose. Jack backs off and reaches to his satchel, taking out multiple knives.

Jack pulling knives from his Völundr-producing satchel

Jack the Ripper reveals that his "true Völundr" is an endless bag from which he can extract various small objects

He throws them at Heracles, who states it's pointless as they can't harm him. However, to his and the gods' surprise, the knives end up piercing him. Heracles wonders how and Jack notes that he lied about his scissors being his Völundr, surprised Heracles fell for it and guessing he lived a very pampered life. Heracles guesses that the knives are his Völundr, but Jack states he has a Völundr-producing satchel, though notes that the satchel can only produce weapons its own size. Göll still can't understand why Brunhilde chose Jack. Brunhilde states the only thing that humans are better than gods at is malice. Jack, as the incarnation of mankind's infinite malice, is the perfect weapon against the most righteous god. Heracles pulls the knives and breaks them, nothing that he will turn his malice to dust.

Jack starts throwing knives, which Heracles perfectly blocks until Jack begins throwing them at irregular trajectories.

Heracles activating his Herculean Exodus

Heracles activating his Herculean Exodus

Initially forced on the defensive, Heracles blocks most of the knives and approaches the serial killer, ignoring sustained cuts. As he reaches him, Heracles swing his club, but Jack parries it using a spinning umbrella. Heracles notes he isn't a complete coward as he parried his attack. Jack states Heracles had just begun to discover who he really is. Heracles then summons the Nemean Lion and his tattoos start expanding. The lion's head of his club also awakens.

Jack is unharmed after Heracles' attack

Jack the Ripper admits Heracles' latest attack was unbelievable

Heracles then swing the club, creating a lion-like shockwave that hits Jack and knocks him into a building. Unexpectedly, Jack takes the impact with ease and fixes a dislocated shoulder. He then cites "the labour we delight in physics pain". An excited William Shakespeare states the quote is from his Macbeth and guesses he must be a fan. Jack states that Act One turned quite nicely and pulls out a large switchblade, intent in starting Act Two.
