Fang Yue's retainer, also called gramps, is an unnamed character in the spin-off.

Appearance

He has the apparence of an old bearded man. His hair is white due to his age. He wears a headband on his forehead and a pair of black pants and shoes.

Personality

He deeply loves his lord and is very proud of him. Similar to him, he holds disdain for incompetence and evil, making him grief over the fact that Fang ended up working under Wang Kuang.

He also thinks highly of his lord, believing that he was strong enough to defeat Lü Bu and claim the title of the strongest in the three kingdoms for himself.

Plot - Flying General

Past

Gramps raised Fang Yue, who was born into a ruined house of distinguished spearmanship. He began training his lord at the age of 5 and by the time he was 15, Fang was already at the level of mastery.

Flying General

He would accompany his lord, carrying the black spear, while he was leading an advance force that would besiege Luoyang, but they would have to break through Hu Lao Gate first. The commanding officer of Hulao Pass, Lü Bu, came out in person and challenged all comers. Fang ended up being the first volunteer, gramps gets happy that Fang has an opportunity to mark his name on history. However, Fang ends up losing causing gramps to grief over his death.

Abilities

Immense strength: Even in his old age, he was still able to go into the battlefield. He was also shown to be capable of carrying the Black Spear (who has a weight of at least 48 kg).

Spearmanship: He was the one who trained Fang Yue in his family's art of spearmanship. He can be seen, teaching Fang in flashbacks.
