All Gods of all Pantheons gathered for the Gods' Council
The Gods' Council is an event that happens once per millennium in which the Gods of every pantheon decide Humanity's fate by the process of voting.
Overview[]
The Gods decide if Humanity should continue to exist through a collection of votes. If the majority of votes are against Humanity then that means their existence must come to an end, though they may cancel the result of the vote by winning in Ragnarok.
If the decision for mankind's destruction is not agreed upon by the majority, the Gods may choose to punish Humanity by destroying key elements of civilization.
Zeus is the current chairman of the Council.
Plot[]
2000 B.C Gods' Council[]
Ares, after it was decided to spare Humanity but punish them anyway, asks Shiva if he can be the one to attack Thebes, as it falls within his jurisdiction
Around 4000 years ago, Zeus chaired the Gods' Council to decide Humanity's fate. In the end, they allowed Humans to keep on living but not without punishment.
Aphrodite suggested the destruction of the city of Thebes and Shiva offers to go there personally, but Ares intervenes asking if he can be the one to punish Thebes by being part of his jurisdiction.
XXI Century Gods' Council[]
Zeus, after the Gods have decreed the end of Humanity but Brunhilde has convinced them to test them with Ragnarok, decrees the beginning of Ragnarok
Zeus was in charge of the Gods' council as their chairman, discussing whether or not to wipe out Humanity. Almost all of the Gods agreed (with a few exceptions), but Brunhilde was the only one who objected and pointed out a clause that gave the humans a fighting chance. Most of the Gods opposed Brunhilde's idea of Ragnarok until she insulted their pride, enraging the gods and tricking them into accepting her idea. After thins, Zeus killed his pet dragon and used his gavel to destroy the majority of the floor to start off Ragnarok.
Results[]
| Time Period | In favor of the destruction of humanity | Against the destruction of humanity | End Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2000 B.C | 26% | 74% | Humanity was spared. The Gods tried to destroy the city of Thebes as a form of punishment, but Heracles stopped them. |
| XXI Century | Possibly a 100% | None, with possibly a few exceptions | The Gods tried to destroy humanity, but Brunhilde managed to convince them to initiate Ragnarok. |
Trivia[]
- It appears that Demigods are not allowed to vote in the council, since neither Valkyries nor Heracles were seen voting.
