Guan Yu is a general who served under Liu Bei during China's Three Kingdoms period. He was revered as a "God of War" for his military accomplishments.
Appearance[]
Guan Yu is a giant armor-clad man in his late middle age, with wide shoulders and a long black beard. His face resembles a traditional Chinese opera mask.
Personality[]
Guan Yu is a stern individual who rarely speaks. He commands respect from other Three Kingdoms generals and shares their feelings of pride for having seen Lü Bu land a hit against Thor. He is also humble as he openly acknowledges his own strength and weaknesses, stating Lü Bu is better than him in terms of martial prowess.
Plot[]
Flying General[]
Guan Yu appearead alongside Liu Bei and Zhang Fei on the wall of Xiaopei, watching the massive Yuan Shu's army and asking what will they day. But after Lü Bu showed up in the battlefield, they became excited in see Lü Bu in action, in which they became surprise about Lü Bu accomplished.
First Round[]
When Lü Bu appeared to fight Thor and was declared to be the strongest from the era of the Three Kingdoms, Liu Bei wonders if that's really true and suggests that if it's the strongest from their time, then Guan Yu may be more befitting of the title.
Guan Yu states that may be true in terms of strategy and overall ability but if they're talking about raw strength, then the strongest is, without a doubt, Lü Bu.
When Red Hare comes into the arena to help Lü Bu (whose leg bones have been broken due to the force of Thor's ultimate blow), Zhang Fei says that they're meant to be together and Liu Bei asks what Guan Yu thinks of that, since he was also a rider of Red Hare. Guan Yu simply says that the back of Red Hare is best suited to Lü Bu. After Lü Bu loses the fight, dying with a smile. Zhang Fei shares a drink with Liu Bei and Guan Yu, and they make a toast to their hero, Lü Bu.
Abilities[]
Immense Strength: Having an enormous frame, Guan Yu is considered second only to Lü Bu when it comes to battle prowess. He easily managed to carry a barrel full of alcohol, Zhang Fei and Liu Bei at the same time.
Expert Tactician and Strategist: Guan Yu's mastery of the art of war earned him the title of "God of War" in Chinese tradition.
Expert Equestrian: Guan Yu was stated to have ridden Red Hare in the past. Although, he is a very skilled horseman, he believes that Red Hare's back is best suited for Lü Bu himself.
Golden Age: As a Human soul, Guan Yu posses the appearance and skills that he had during his Golden Age, the age in which he was at his peak.
