Kagekatsu Toda is a nephew of Seigen Toda and a fencing instructor in Seigen's dojo.

A very large muscle-bound man with a chonmage hairstyle.
Personality[]
Kagekatsu believes in hard work and shows disdain towards those who don't work as hard as him. He was angered at Kojiro's apparent laziness and initially viewed him with contempt. However, he knew when to call quits in the face of greater power and admired those of greater skill.
Plot[]
Past[]
Kagekatsu Toda was a harsh and demanding instructor at Seigen's dojo. One day, a few hours into the training session, Kojiro Sasaki entered the dojo, looking sleepy. Kagekatsu scolded Kojiro for being late, but Kojiro took the reprimand as praise.
They began to spar with their wooden swords until Kojiro surrendered after being disarmed by Kagekatsu. The instructor was irritated with this apparent lack of fighting spirit and told him that in a fight to the death, he should keep fighting by using every part of his body.
Six months later, Kojiro Sasaki returned to the Toda dojo to challenge Seigen. Kagekatsu was surprised by Kojiro's newfound skill and strength. Now the instructor quickly surrendered as he was convinced that Kojiro had surpassed him.
Ragnarok: Third Round[]
Around 400 years after Kagekatsu Toda's death, Ragnarok began, and he was in the audience.
During the third match, he watched his former junior student, Kojiro Sasaki fight against Poseidon. He cheered for Kojiro and supported him from the audience when it seemed like he was about to lose.

Abilities[]
Golden Age: As a human soul in the afterlife, Kagekatsu posses the appearance and skills that he had during his Golden Age, the age in which he was at his peak.
Swordsmanship and Physical Strength: Toda possesses at least above average skill in swordsmanship and great physical strength.
Etymology[]
- The name Kagekatsu means "scenery, view" (景) (kage) and "victory" (勝) (katsu).
- Kagekatsu's surname Toda means "wealth, abundance" (富) (to) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
