Kagemasa Toda is the younger brother of Seigen Toda and an assistant instructor at Seigen's dojo.

Appearance[]

Kagemasa Toda is an aging Japanese man. He has a strong build and silver strands in his dark hair. Kagemasa wears a kimono during his appearances.

Personality[]

Similar to his son, Kagekatsu Toda, Kagemasa values hard work and feels disdain towards those who don't work hard. He was convinced that Kojiro had no talent for fencing and initially viewed him with contempt, jokingly calling young Kojiro a "budding merchant" for having hope in his future.

Swordsmanship: Since Kagemasa was an assistant instructor at Seigen's dojo, it can be assumed that he posses some degree of skill in swordsmanship.

Golden Age: As a human soul in the afterlife, Kagemasa posses the appearance and skills that he had during his Golden Age, the age in which he was at his peak.

Etymology[]

  • The name Kagemasa means "scenery, view" (景) (kage) and "government" (政) (masa).
  • Kagemasa's surname Toda means "wealth, abundance" (富) (to) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
