Kronos was the mightiest of all Titans and the living embodiment of time. He was killed by the youngest of his sons, Zeus, during the Titanomachy Tournament.[2]
Appearance[]
Kronos was a colossal muscular man with spiky short light hair. His upper body was covered by chains and he only wore a tunic and metal knee-guards.[3]
Personality[]
While most of his personality is unknown, Zeus described him as a bad father but a good fighter.[4]
Plot[]
Past[]
During the final round of the Titanomachy Tournament, Kronos fought against his youngest son, Zeus, and was defeated, only managing to land one hit on his opponent.
Zeus commended his father's fighting ability before killing him and later adopted Kronos' strongest attack into his fighting style.[5]
Abilities[]
Physical Abilities[]
Titanic Strength: Being the mightiest of all Titans and the only Titanomachy contestant that managed to land an attack on Zeus, Kronos boasted immeasurable physical power. He was strong enough to smash Zeus's chin and break multiple of his teeth.[6]
Titanic Speed: Kronos was capable of using The Fist That Surpassed Time, a technique that requires speed going beyond time itself in order to be performed.[7]
Fighting Abilities[]
Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Similarly to Zeus, Kronos chose to fight with nothing but his fists, with his youngest son commenting that he was a good fighter, which is notable as there are very few individuals whose strength Zeus acknowledges.[7]
Supernatural Abilities[]
Semi-Immortality: As the living embodiment of time, Kronos is possibly just as old as time itself. Since he is older than Zeus, Kronos has existed before the Big Bang and possibly at the very beginning of Time itself.
Divine Physiology: As Kronos was the ruler of the Titans and the father of Zeus, the King of the Gods, Kronos possesses physical abilities far greater than any ordinary Human and possibly most gods as well as being impervious to harm by mortal weapons. However, he could still be harmed by unarmed attacks from individuals with superhuman strength and strikes from Divine Weapons. This is shown when Kronos was defeated and killed by Zeus using his bare hands and vast strength.
Time Manipulation: Since Kronos was the living embodiment of time, he was able to manipulate time to some extent. The Fist That Surpassed Time possibly makes use of this ability.[7]
Techniques[]
- The Fist That Surpassed Time (時を超える拳, Toki o Koeru Ken): Despite not naming this technique himself, Kronos was the original user of this move - a punch so fast that it appears to defy time itself, leaving the opponent with no chance to react or even perceive the attack (moving within at least less than 1e-20 of a second).[7] Only one individual has been shown to be capable of dodging this technique.[8]
