— Loki to Simo Häyhä in Round Eleven
|
Loki is the Gods' representative in the eleventh round of Ragnarok, going against Simo Häyhä.
Loki is a prominent deity in the Norse Pantheon and the "God of Mischief" (狡知の神, Kōchi no Kami)[1]. Being the most cunning out of all the Gods, Loki is known as the "Most Atrocious Trickster in All of Valhalla" (神界最凶の悪戯小僧, Shinkai Saikyō no Torikkusutā)[2]. In contrast to Thor, who's considered as the supreme warrior of the Norse Pantheon, Loki is called as the "Ephemeral Assassin" (無貌の暗殺者, Mubou no Ansatsu-sha)[3].
Appearance[]
Loki takes the form of a tall, lean yet muscular man. He wears a cloak, with long sleeves, which are detached from their base. He also wears fingerless gloves and an array of stud ear piercings on each of his ears. He has green hair that goes down to his neck with a white highlight tuft to the left of his face. Loki has purple eyes and his pupils are slanted like that of a goat. He wears a tattered purple cape with medieval-style shoulder guards, a thin gothic breastplate with a diamond-shaped opening across the center of the chest, gloves that leave his fingers exposed and extend to the middle of his biceps, slim-fitting trousers, and pointed boots. he occasionally takes the form of other gods.
In the past, Loki wore clothings similar to a motorcycle gang member. Wearing a spiked choker and sleeveless leather jacket showing off his chest and abs. He also has tattoos on his stomach and arms. His hair was brushed up in a messy way, with a strand hanging before his face.
Personality[]
Loki is a playful, sadistic, aloof and sometimes unhinged individual who lusts for carnage, finding it very entertaining.
Loki finds Ragnarok and its unexpected twists exciting
He mostly saw Ragnarok as a joke and, for the first two rounds, just laid back and watched the spectacle unfold. However, after Poseidon was killed by Kojiro Sasaki in the third round, Loki became worried by the fact mere Humans actually had the potential to kill Gods. For this very reason, Loki started to take the event much more seriously.
He is quite confident in his own power as shown when he attacked Buddha and was able to intimidate fellow Gods like Hoteison and Benzaiten with little effort.
Loki also rarely has good posture, as shown when he either limply floats in the air, crouches on a chair or sits on the floor.
He also holds his own race to an extremely high standard, displaying twisted elation seeing them fight and feeling enraged whenever they lose against inferior beings. He also seems to have a hatred towards Demigods.
Loki desperately tries to convince Brunhilde.
While Loki isn't supportive of Humanity's survival, he did show an interest in Adam's struggle, Jack the Ripper's trickery and manipulation of Heracles, and while he called Kojiro's win against Poseidon a bad excuse for a joke, moments before it happened, he was shown to be thrilled with the strength that Kojiro had displayed.
One of Loki's important characteristics is his great affection to Brunhilde. Loki's love for her was so deep, that he offered her to save only her from Odin's wrath when the Gods will eventually win the Ragnarok. Despite Brunhilde's rejection, Loki still hoped that she would accept his offer, and was exceptionally joyful when he thought that she accepted it. Another great example of Loki's obsession with Brunhilde is the full-length doll of her within Loki's room, to which he often talks to, like he would talk to the real Brunhilde. He also happens to possess a diary where he regularly writes about her and comments his observation about the first Valkyrie. Even if his affection seems to be twisted and dark, Loki really has feelings towards Brunhilde, wanting them to be equals, and refusing when she bows to him. After Brunhilde expressed that she wants to kill him to save Humanity, his love seemingly turns into fury and murderous intent, but it can be assumed that Loki still feels something for Brunhilde, since he couldn't bring himself to destroy the doll of her in his rampage, or to sabotage her plans by refusing to fight. Even in the 11th round where Loki chose to fight Simo Häyhä, he felt guilt as through winning he'd sabotage Brunhilde's plans, but at the same time he has indicated that he cannot afford to lose and die. The reason for his immense love for Brunhilde lies in Loki's background: Feared and treated just like an "alien" by his own Gods, Brunhilde was the only person who hadn't shown any fear to him. Loki fell in love with the smile she gave him, resulting in him becoming a prankster, taking usage of his pranks as to give returns to that said smile.
However, another great aspect of his personality is his jealousy which comes with malevolence: after seeing Brunhilde walking happily with her husband Siegfried, Loki's hatred for him began in an instant. Loki went as far as framing Siegfried with the murder of Fafnir to separate him from the Valkyrie. Although he expressed slight sympathy for Siegfried's eternal imprisonment in Tartarus, Loki nonetheless shrugged it off.
Prior his fight against Simo Häyhä, out of his obsession and desire only for himself to be with Brunhilde, the God of Mischief rapidly wrote on his desire to kill his upcoming opponent in his diary. And later in the fight, as he sent a clone of himself and Heracles at the cost of being shot through his heart, the Norse Trickster was unbothered by the price he had to pay, being more satisfied for his opportunity to kill the Finnish sniper.
Abilities[]
Overall Abilities: As a major deity within the Norse Pantheon, chosen as one of the Gods Fighters, Loki's amounts of power and influence are undeniably impressive. Having Frost Giant blood in his veins and power rivaling Odin and "Ultimate Norse Deity" Thor, making him exponentially powerful. Prior to becoming a prankster, Loki was feared vastly by the Gods of his own pantheon for the abnormal power he possess. Among his kind, Loki has an incredible intellect which he utilises greatly for pranks and strategies, earning him the name "Most Atrocious Trickster in All of Valhalla".
Physical Abilities[]
Godly Strength: Despite his lean frame, Loki has displayed tremendous amounts of physical strength, shown when he managed to wreck his own room by simply pressing his fingers against the floor and tearing apart the same floor with his finger strength alone. The same terrifying pressure exerted from his fingers shattered his couch and sent his artificial replicas of animals into the ceiling, which left large cracks in it, with the dolls themselves getting dismembered from the force alone. Early in his years as a trickster, Loki had demonstrated his immense physical power in the prank where he stole Thor's Mjölnir, carrying the massive hammer on his back without any issues, in which he afterwards had to carry Brunhilde on his arms as Thor went after him in wrath, without slowing down at all. When he had disguised himself as Siegfried, Loki was able to slay Odin's enormous-sized dragon, Fafnir by decapitating him.
- Immense Dexterity and Accuracy: Alongside superhuman strength, Loki possesses and extreme levels of coordination and dexterity, proven when he managed to leave the human-sized Brunhilde doll unscathed, despite the great destruction he caused on his own room, which included shattering apart the floor and leaving large tears on the walls, that even reached up to the ceiling.
Godly Speed & Reflexes: Loki displayed unfathomable speed & reaction time via his copy, who was capable of commanding his horde of clones to block Lemminkäinen's path, perceive the bullet's trajectory and even summon the Shield of Skuld before Simo Häyha's "God-slaying" bullet hit him. It was stated that as he is a God with senses sharpened highly, catching up to the speed of a bullet is no big deal.
Mental Abilities[]
Keen Intellect: Loki is a very sagacious and intelligent individual, as seen when he noticed and detected the discrepancies in the Valkyries's "Völundr" ability and determined it had something to do with Buddha and correctly discerned his betrayal to the Gods. He was also the second one to notice the true nature of Jack's Völundr, straight after Heracles himself.
- Tactical Intellect: As the God of Mischief reputed for being the Most Atrocious Trickster in All of Valhalla and his cunningness, Loki is among the Gods with the greatest tactical abilities. In the past, he successfully framed Siegfried for a heinous crime by using his shapeshifting ability to transform into him and slay the pet of Odin, Fafnir, allowing himself to be spotted by the maids and later fake being a witness himself. In Round 11, against Simo Häyhä, Loki chose a snowy forest for the arena to actually benefit himself and aid in his abilities; formulating a plan by secretly copying himself while staying hidden from not just his own opponent, but the entire audience also, he used the other two sub-abilities of Heimskringla to track Simo's location from behind and finally find him. The only mistake he made, was underestimating his opponents' combat potential, having not expected Häyhä to have such immense firepower. And then, despite being at a large disadvantage with his loss of Andvaranaut and usage requirements of Heimskringla, he managed to "evolve" through that trial, in which he created the best trap of his existence: disguising himself as a Heracles and using himself as a bait, Loki had summoned a clone of Thor and another copy of himself behind the fighter for Humanity.
Expert Craftsmanship: Loki has shown to be talented in various forms of craftsmanship such as forming glass bottles resembling faces of person/God or making life-sized dolls of people like Brunhilde. For the Brunhilde doll, he even went as far as crafting eyes and hair that resemble Brunhilde's.
Expert Taxidermist: In his private quarters, Loki houses multiple taxidermied animals such as a tiger, antelope, zebra, snake, eagle and more. These are likely done by himself personally as he's shown enough skill to craft a life-sized doll of a person by hand. In addition, Loki has shown a high degree of knowledge regarding the body such as when Adam suffered from using Divine Reflection extensively or when he knew how serious Jack the Ripper's wound was upon being impaled by a metal spike earlier in the fight with Heracles. This skill is showcased in the 11th round where Loki uses his Taxidermist knowledge to "input" a living (or non-living) details and "output" them as a clone.
Fighting Abilities[]
Expert Chainman: Loki possesses some skill and proficiency in wielding his divine dual-chained hooks.
Supernatural Abilities[]
Semi-Immortality: As a God, Loki has a limitless lifespan and will not die of old age.
Divine Physiology: As a God, Loki possesses physical abilities far greater than any ordinary Human. His body can not be harmed by mortal weapons. However, he can still be harmed by unarmed attacks from individuals with superhuman strength and Divine Weapons.
Metamorphosis: As the God of Mischief, Loki can change his shape and appearance at will to deceive others, though he often does so simply for his own amusement. His proficiency in transformation is so immense that he can even fool Huginn and Muninn when he takes on the form of Thor. Loki has demonstrated the ability to coat his own body with a transformation of Heracles, wearing the form of Heracles as if it were a suit. Loki does this to perform a deceptive attack, knowing that a sharpshooter like Simo Häyhä, when faced with a surprise assault, would immediately aim to pierce the vital organs of his enemy with a single shot, without hesitation. However, due to the difference in their body sizes, regardless of whether Simo shot at Heracles’ brain or heart, Loki’s vital organs would not be in the same place. Still, Loki was fully aware that if the bullet missed by mere millimeters, it would mean his death.
Matter Manipulation: Loki briefly demonstrated the ability to shape matter when he changed the appearance of two wine bottles into the faces of Zeus and Adam. It is unknown if Loki can do more than that with his ability. He can also use this ability to create Vital Life Cups, where he can connect his Transmutation of Matter with beings by filling the cup with wine. in the fight between Adam and Zeus, Loki shaped the cups into the shape of the faces of the two fighters when filling them with wine, they apparently connected with the fighters, because with each blow they received, one of their cups stirred and when Adam's cup overflowed, it was confirmation that the father of humanity had lost the fight against the king of the gods.
Portal Creation: Loki has demonstrated the ability to create portals at will to transport himself from one location to another without traversing the space in between. He has also used this ability to summon his weapons, creating a small portal in the palm of each hand. He has shown the capacity to create portals of various sizes, large enough for him to pass through or small enough for his dual-chain hooks to emerge for use in combat.
Divine aura: Loki has demonstrated that he has a large and dense divine aura which he displays when he is extremely furious; this aura takes on a dark color and has a certain resemblance to fire. He has already demonstrated this ability twice, when he became angry along with Zeus after the defeat of Heracles and also when he accused Buddha of treason.
Levitation: Loki's main form of movement is floating in the air, only on rare occasions is he seen walking.
