Prometheus to the audicence in The God Who Rebelled Against the Gods

Prometheus (プロメテウス, Purometeusu) is a Greek Titan, the first in the heavens to be called an Outer God. Deeply hating the Gods while incredibly loving humanity, he participates in the Apocalypse to win the additional prize, to use to call off Ragnarok, and possibly abolish the conference for mankind's fate.

Appearance[]

Being a Titan, Prometheus is of an extremely tall height, and high muscularity, with a sharp jawline and side-swept fringe style dark-brown hair, and blue eyes detailed by angular eye sockets. For attire, he wears a sleek, form-fitting dark shirt, paired with a tattered yet elegant draped sash over one shoulder. His hands are wrapped with hand wraps. For his lower body, he wears loose, practical pants. Finally, for footwear, he wears sturdy sandals.

Personality[]

Prometheus is a stoic, serious, yet empathetic Titan and highly altruistic, having treated a badly injured Cú Chulainn. Despite his towering and intimidating figure, however, Prometheus stands out as an extremely compassionate man, being one of the few deities who love humanity despite their sins and flaws, and have a desire to save them, unafraid of what can happen to him if going so. As such, Prometheus participates in the Apocalypse with the sole intent of using the reward to cancel off Ragnarok and prevent their extinction. Prometheus' love for Humanity has no ends, proven when despite being horrifically damaged during his fight, the simple thought of them and his determination to save them gave him the boost to stand up and remain on his feet even after passing out.

Yet, as the first Outer God, Prometheus is incredibly rebellious towards the Heavens and highly hates the Gods, open in public about his status and his desire for vengeance against them. He is defiant of them so much, that he even stole "fire" from the Heavens and gave it down to Humanity, which resulted to terrifying destruction and malice on Earth.

Prometheus is also a person who prefers to tell others about their limits and flaws, shown when he informed Cú Chulainn of what could have happened if Geis didn't notify him the Demigod collapsed and is in need of treatment despite his enhanced recovery rate, or when he gave his opinion the Celt won't win the Apocalypse at all, due to his reckless fighting style that has no consideration for himself. The Titan is also an observer, noticing well the details of his surroundings, shown when he noted how different is mankind compared to the Gods. Looking at character, despite mankind's shy and clumsy nature, and physically weak bodies, he came to love them due to their pureness. Prometheus, however, also possess a reluctant and somewhat sorrowful side, always hesitating with his actions and somewhat depressed for his failed past attempts to save Humanity. Prometheus' incredible sense of sorrow was demonstrated further in his past, as he let himself be punished with heavy beatings for torture, simply because he thought this is what he deserves for betraying his kind. Despite this, Prometheus is always a righteous person, whom even during cycles of doubt and fear, walks on the right path.

Prometheus is also a great friend to Heracles, the two extremely close to each other, due to sharing the same goal of saving mankind, having even interacted in the past with one another. Prometheus also has an extremely enthusiastic side, easily getting motivated by others, even becoming courageous enough to stand up against the Gods and defy against them.

Abilities[]

Overall Abilities: As the one titled as the "First Outer God", Prometheus is undoubtedly extremely powerful. Not only did he successfully steal "fire" from the Heavens and gave it down to mankind, but he has also multiple times attempted to save them. The only things restraining him are his doubts and anxiety. When they are set away, this is where his potential is recognized the most, with even Zeus admitting he is incredibly dangerous for them. This is best demonstrated when upon being punished for giving mankind "fire", the Titan allowed himself to be tortured by Bia and Kratos out of the belief of deserving such a fate for several millennia but when motivated by Hercules, he swiftly freed himself and easily defeated Bia with one attack even when he hasn't recovered from the extensive torture. Prometheus was also deemed powerful and worthy enough to be selected to fight against Sun Wukong, a fellow and immensely powerful Outer God, who was considered to be the fighter with the highest chances of winning the tournament and regarded as a "perfect warrior", who is among the highest classes in terms of combat strength.

Unlike the typical fighters of Ragnarok, who either have special naturally-born abilities or unique equipment, Prometheus is a fighter with no special property, being solely on his physical stats, combat mastery and pain amplification of his Acantha. Despite this, he stands out as extremely powerful, as mentioned above; The Greek Titan during his fight against Sun Wukong, was able to overwhelm with the help of his Acantha. Although he was defeated by him with a single attack, he earned the Great Sage's respect. Wukong's acknowledgment of his power was shown by the fact he reconsidered to using 15% of his Shifàng Wēili, recognizing him as one of the few worthy of this.

Physical Abilities[]

Titanic Strength: Evident by his massive physical structure and being a Titan, a kind known for their immense physical strength and large body frame, Prometheus harbors tremendous strength, even for a Titan. He was able to casually catch an entire bed one handedly, thrown at him by Cú Chulainn, who boasts himself immense physical strength. With a swing of his arm, he is able to throw incredibly powerful individuals high into the air without them even able to fight back against it, as shown when he did it against Sun Wukong. He can deliver hard headbutts capable of stunning and killing even strong Gods, having managed to kill the Goddess Bia with a one and the help of the massive pain amplification of Acantha, despite the fact she is an agent of Zeus, and even slightly affect the likes of Sun Wukong with a Gremnós Arkan. Another impressive feat by him, Prometheus was able to restrain the Great Sage with his divine chains, then injure him with Deno Altair: Great Eagle’s Beak, slamming him into the floor so hard, he was able to shatter it apart into a crater. Similarly to Cú Chulainn, Prometheus also has and incredible strength and power in his legs, capable of leaping high in the air and crack apart the same stone floor with his jumps. While on Earth to manage mankind, Prometheus was even able to ram up against a massive boar and defeat it by the tackle, breaking off a tusk, as well effortlessly lift it up with a single arm; The Titan's tremendous size and extreme strength also served useful for helping Humanity with manual labor.

Titanic Speed and Reflexes: Despite his large size, Prometheus has displayed incredible speed and reflexes. The moment Cú Chulainn threw a whole bed at him, he was able to nearly instantly react and move fast enough to catch it with a single hand, which is shocking, considering the Celtic Demigod's own superhuman speed. Prometheus was also able to cuff down Sun Wukong's ankle so fast, the Great Sage wasn't able to react, despite the fact his reflexes were sharp enough to allow him to see Cú Chulainn's Gáe Bulg though the Monkey King claimed that he allowed it to happen. Prometheus was also able move so fast that he instantly sent Sun Wukong into the air, once again faster than he could react, then quickly deliver Gremnós Arkan, then following up with Deno Altair: Great Eagle’s Beak. When freeing himself from his torture by Bia and Kratos, Prometheus swiftly detached the Acantha from himself and used it to ensnare Bia before she can reach Hercules and before anyone else was able to react. Another moment in the past, Prometheus was able to dash fast enough to an enormous boar that terrorized a group of humans, tackling it with his shoulder faster than it could react.

Titanic Endurance and Stamina: Being a Titan, Prometheus shares his kin's outstanding physical endurance from being able to endure several thousand years of extensive torture without any complains. Prometheus is even able to utilize pain itself as a weapon in the form of the Acantha against another outer god while receiving what they suffered at the same time. He can even resist the impacts of his own headbutts and withstand the injury on his head he received in his fight against Sun Wukong with a somewhat mild reaction, even smiling in response to it. Prometheus's immense, unparalleled endurance and stamina also allowed him to survive the Shifàng Wēili of Sun Wukong, despite the terrifying damage that was unleashed on him.

  • Immense Pain Tolerance: Prometheus demonstrated one of the greatest thresholds of pain in the entire series of being extensively tortured for countless years by Bia, the goddess of Violence, made more impressive by the effects of the Acantha that amplifies the pain of its ensnared victims by hundreds of times over including the powerful electric shocks of the cage he was being tortured within which makes the ordeal more damaging all the while secretly being unfazed by them despite having visible injuries. During his escape, Bia expressed absolute shock at the fact that Prometheus was able to stand and act nonchalant about the torture he received upon experiencing the effects of the Acantha herself as he easily overpowered her.

Mental Abilities[]

Indomitable Will: Alongside having very great endurance and pain tolerance, Prometheus possesses an unfathomable will being able to withstand his punishment in the form of heavy beatings for thirty thousand years. Despite the constant pain that was amplified hundreds of times upfold by Acantha, Prometheus was able to keep living and resist it. And despite what he just experienced, Prometheus was able to shrug off the pain and damage inflicted on him, stopping Bia in her tracks and killing her. Despite the horrific condition he sustained due to Sun Wukong's Shifàng Wēili, that left the movements of his body much impossible to happen, his determination to ensure humanity's salvation granted him the feat to surpass his limits, managing to stand up. After his final speech, Prometheus finally fainted while still standing on his feet.

Keen Intellect: Prometheus is extremely intelligent, as brainy as his brawns. His request for Zeus to craft Acantha to punish himself not only gave him the application to remove the chains at any time, but also use them as his own weapon, taking their ability to amplify pain by hundreds of times upfold to his advantage, completely outsmarting the Gods. Prometheus is also highly knowledgeable in science, particularly medicine, skilled enough in that field to successfully treat Cú Chulainn and save him from a potential death, likely thanks to his former role as a guardian of the human race.

Fighting Abilities[]

Chains Master: Prometheus is an extremely skilled chain wielder. With just minimal movements of his arms, he is able to dexterously and swiftly swing his long chains at an opponent's body, with such accuracy, he can even cuff parts of their body.

Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Benefitting his fighting style, Prometheus also has great mastery in unarmed combat. Prometheus can particularly utilize powerful headbutts and brawling moves against his opponents, aiming to overwhelm with the pain amplification of Acantha, using his moves in conjunction with the same Divine Weapon.

Supernatural Abilities[]

Semi-Immortality: As a titan, Prometheus is incapable of dying due to old age.

Divine Physiology: As a titan, Prometheus possesses physical abilities far greater than any ordinary human. His body cannot be harmed by mortal weapons; however, he can still be harmed by unarmed attacks from individuals with superhuman strength and divine weapons.

Techniques[]

Gkremós Archon (Divine Punishment in Chains) (天罰は鎖と共にクレモス・アルカン, Kuremosu Arukan):[1]Prometheus uses his chains to swing a cuffed opponent into the air, only to pull them back down towards him at high speeds, as he meets them with a powerful headbutt with all of his strength.
Deno Altair (Great Eagle's Beak) (大鷲の嘴デノ・アルタイル, Deno Arutairu): [2]After stunning his opponent with Gremnós Arkan, Prometheus uses his time to tie up his Acantha around his opponent's torso to immobilise their upper body movement, as he then jumps high into the air while wielding them, proceeding to perform a brain-buster, brutally slamming his opponent upside down in a vertical. The move was powerful enough to crater apart the floor of the arena, and the pain amplified by Acantha even petrified Sun Wukong for a time.

Equipment[]

Acantha:[3] Prometheus mainly uses two long chains tied to his wrists in battle. The chain was forged by Zeus at the request of Prometheus to accept his own punishment for bringing fire to humans for 30,000 years. Those caught in chains will multiply the pain a hundredfold, it is so painful that being attacked is enough to cause a normal god to vanish. He can also take it off at any time as he wishes. Unfortunately, during Round 1, Match 2 of the Apocalypse, the Acantha was shattered by Sun Wukong's Shifàng Wēili.
