— Reginleif to Adam in Unexpected
|
Reginleif is the seventh of the 13 Valkyrie sisters who performed a Völundr with Adam during the second round of Ragnarok.
Appearance[]
Reginleif has neck-length black hair that is styled in a bob haircut and turquoise-colored eyes.
She appears as a medieval scholar that comes with a cape behind her back, a medieval scholar hat and she wears rectangular glasses.
Personality[]
Reginleif is very loyal to her Valkyrie sisters and supports Brunhilde's idea of Ragnarok.
However, she can also be annoyed with Göll's anxious personality like the rest of her sisters, but she still cared for her along with the rest of her sisters. She was also the one who tutored Göll with her education.
Plot[]
Gods' Council[]

Reginleif and the other Valkyries answer Brunhilde's call for Ragnarok
Somewhere between the Gods' Council and the start of Ragnarok, Reginleif and the other 10 Valkyries met with Brunhilde and Göll to help them fight against the Gods.
Second Round[]

Reginleif and Adam perform the Völundr
After both fighters entered the arena, Zeus asked Adam where his Völundr was and warned him it'd be over for him if he didn't have one. Adam pointed up and said she's already here. Reginleif flew into the arena atop a pegasus and as Brunhilde called her the most perfect Valkyrie for Adam, Reginleif jumped down. She told Adam that in order for the Völundr to work, their hearts need to be synchronized. After touching their fingers together, the Völundr was successful and Reginleif became a knuckleduster on Adam's right hand.

Reginleif dies alongside Adam following his death
Thanks to his Divine Reflection being able to copy Zeus' techniques, Adam was able to drive him up against the wall. After Zeus assumed his final form, Adamas, the battle turned into one of attrition, forcing Adam to overheat his eyes. Eventually, his eyes shut down and Adam became blind, putting him on the backfoot. Despite this, Adam continued to put up a fierce fight, but ultimately died while standing.
As both his body and the knuckleduster starts crumbling into dust after his death, Reginleif appears and smiles sweetly to him while reaching for his hand as a way to show her respect to him before she dies and disintegrates into nothing along with Adam.
Abilities[]
Supernatural Abilities[]
Semi-Immortality: As a demigod, Reginleif is incapable of dying from old age.
Divine Physiology: As a demigod, it can be assumed that Reginleif possesses physical abilities far greater than any ordinary Human. Her body can not be harmed by mortal weapons, but she can still be harmed by unarmed attacks from individuals with superhuman strength and Divine Weapons.
Common Destiny: The power of "Common Destiny" allows a person to bring out their full potential by entrusting their fate to another. Before Ragnarok, Brunhilde sought Buddha in order to learn more about this power. The Valkyries give their wielders the power to harm Gods by entrusting them with their lives.
- Völundr: The ability to turn into any weapon based on her partner's preference. While it is known that her name means "Daughter of the Gods" (神々の残された者, Kamigami no Nokosareta Mono), Reginleif's unique ability has not been specified and it is unknown if she even has one. She turned into a knuckleduster when being partnered with Adam with no unique ability besides making Adam's punches have a stronger impact on the enemy.
Miscellaneous Abilities[]
Horsewoman: During her entrance into the second round, Reginleif was seen riding a Pegasus and jumping off to reach Adam.
Etymology[]
- The name Reginleif translates to "Daughter of the Gods", which partners well with Adam's status as the first man created by the gods.
- Her name can also mean "Power Trace", referencing Adam's Eyes of the Lord ability.
Trivia[]
- Unlike the other Valkyrie sisters, Reginleif doesn't perform the Völund with her partner before the fight. Instead, she appears riding a flying horse and jumps from it to Adam's side, where both of them fulfill the ritual.
- The scene where Reginleif becomes Adam's Völund is a reference to The Creation of Adam, one of Michelangelo's (who is also one of the spectators of the audience) Sistine Chapel pieces.
