Plot[]
Past[]
In the past, Rudra met Shiva when they were kids and the two became great friends, despite their different personalities. On a particular day, Rudra was training by repeatedly punching into a large rock before being convinced by Shiva to cut loose and dance for a bit. Soon after, two villagers came up to them and pleaded for them to save the village from being terrorized by sone Asura. Though Shiva found it a pain, Rudra immediately accepted and convinced him to do it. After the two arrived at the village, they fought off Shumbha and Nishumbha, along with their gang. Later that day, as they sat on a hill, Rudra asked Shiva what he planned to do for the future.
Shiva whimsically decided to become the God of Dancing and after remarking on how that suited him, Rudra admitted to Shiva that he had a dream. After headbutting Shiva when he mocks him for acting like a Human, Rudra revealed to his best friend that he wanted to reach the peak of Svarga and stand atop the Hindu Pantheon, wishing to test his own ability as a God. Rudra invited Shiva to accompany him on his journey as he believed they'd be able to do it if they worked together. Since he always has fun with Rudra, Shiva accepted, with neither knowing how this dream would turn out.
Rudra and Shiva started by defeating all the Asura at the bottom, and they began working their way up, gaining more supporters along the way as they defeated many of the Hindu Gods. They fought against some of the mightiest Gods of Hinduism, such as Agni, Varuna and Indra (whom Rudra seemed to fight alone). After he and Shiva defeated Brahma the Creator and Vishnu the Preserver, having defeated all 1115 Hindu Gods, the two finally managed to reach the peak. While Shiva was excited, Rudra remained serious and told his best friend that only one God had the right to stand at the peak. Rudra insisted to Shiva that they need to find out who was stronger between the two. Crying, Shiva guessed there was no other choice and the two shared a fistbump before beginning their battle, The battle between the two was said to be the fiercest battle since the start of India.
Eventually, an exhausted Rudra was repeatedly punched down by Shiva but getting back up every time, refusing to give up. Out of sympathy for his best friend, Shiva sat down and sighed about how strong Rudra was. He attempted to give up but Rudra surrendered first, making it Shiva's victory. Rudra lectured Shiva on how holding back on someone giving it their all was worse than death and after Shiva teared up about how this was Rudra's dream, the God of Storms admitted Shiva stood at the peak of all 1116 Hindu Gods. Rudra asked if he could leave Svarga to Shiva, who accepted. They shared a fistbump one more time, with Rudra transferring his markings to Shiva. After that day, Rudra left Svarga whilst Shiva stood at the peak of it, the two never meeting again until Ragnarok.
Fifth Round[]
During Shiva's battle against Raiden Tameemon, Rudra watched hidden in the stadium before being approached by other notable Hindu Gods: Brahma, Vishnu, Indra, Agni and Varuna. They discussed how Shiva enjoys fighting with his fists so much, that he's an idiot, before Rudra inwardly encouraged Shiva to show Raiden the result of all his battles. At that moment, Shiva began using the Hidden Treasure of Svarga to overwhelm Raiden with his dancing. Rudra joined the Hindu Gods' audience in chanting out the beat for Shiva to dance to. Shiva unleashed Krittivasa and delivered a flaming kick that split open and cauterized Raiden from the left side of his face, all the way down to his abdomen. This convinced Raiden to go all-out and he proceeded to use a forbidden move, Yatagarasu, leading to Shiva's upper arms being ripped off his body.
The two fighters were both exhausted. As Raiden received support from Thrud and the sumo wrestlers in Humanity's crowd, Rudra sent a breeze to Shiva, prompting Shiva to turn back and see his best friend watching. Knowing he couldn't let neither Rudra nor the rest of his pantheon down since they all believed in an unreliable guy like him, Shiva activated Tandava Karma, leading to the final stages of the fifth round. As the two fought with all they had, at one point, Rudra began releasing blasts of wind, yelling at Shiva not to lose. Eventually, they clashed with their final moves and Shiva came out on top, winning the fifth round.
Shortly after the fight, Rudra and the rest went to congratulate Shiva for his victory, where he helped Shiva to walk as he was about to pass out due to his injuries.
