Seijuro Yoshioka is a Japanese swordsman, known for his role as head of the Yoshioka-ryū swordsmanship house. He showed up in Round 3 in support of Kojiro Sasaki.
Appearance[]
Seijuro appears as a middle-aged Japanese man. He has long, dark hair that he keeps tied back, with only a few strands covering his face.
Personality[]
He was shown to be apprehensive about letting Kojiro Sasaki be mankind's representative, and believed Musashi Miyamoto would've been a better choice.After seeing that Sasaki really deserved the title of the strongest swordsman of humanity, he helps him and is very happy with his friend's victory.
Plot[]
Ragnarok: Third Round[]
When Kojiro Sasaki is announced as the third fighter for mankind and as the greatest swordsman, Iori Miyamoto disagrees and states that title should be for his father, Musashi Miyamoto. Seijuro agrees as Musashi had defeated him.
Seijuro Yoshioka and the other swordsmen support Kojiro Sasaki during his encounter with Poseidon
Moments later, Kojiro calms the waves with his sword, moving the swordmasters to tears and making Musashi comment that Kojiro had achieved all sword practitioners aim for, The Number One Under the Sun. All the sword practitioners show their support for Kojiro, knowing that he has yet to show his full skills, which eventually leads to Kojiro's win.
Abilities[]
Swordsmanship: As head of the Yoshioka-ryū house, Seijuro is an incredibly strong swordsman.Seijuro was considered one of the strongest opponents of Musashi Miyamoto which shows that he was very powerful and skilled in the use of the sword.
Supernatural Abilities[]
Golden Age:As an afterlife soul, Seijuro possesses the same appearance and abilities as when he was in his prime.
Etymology[]
- The name Seijuro means "clear, pure, clean" (清) (sei), "ten" (十) (ju) and "son" (郎) (ro).
- Seijuro's surname Yoshioka means "lucky, good" (吉) (yoshi) and "ridge, hill" (岡) (oka).
