Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok is a Japanese manga series written by Takumi Fukui & Shinya Umemura and illustrated by Azychika. It is published digitally in English outside of Japan by Mangamo. In North America, Viz Media is also publishing it digitally and in print in English.
An anime adaptation by Graphinica premiered in 2021 on Netflix. A second season by Graphinica x Yumeta Company premiered in 2023.
A spin-off series titled Shuumatsu no Valkyrie - The Legend of Lü Bu "The Flying General" by Takeo Ono, was serialized from October 2019 to November 2022 in Comic Zenon. A second spin-off series titled Shuumatsu no Valkyrie - Jack the Ripper Case Files by Keita Iizuka, started in October 2022 in Comic Zenon. A third spin-off series titled Shuumatsu no Valkyrie - Gods' Apocalypse by Otsuhiko Naruse & Ippei Okamoto, started in June 2024 in Comic Zenon.
A stage play adaptation ran from November to December 2021.
Plot[]
The story begins when the Gods call a convention to decide whether to let Humanity live or die, and settle on destroying Humanity. But a lone Valkyrie puts forward a suggestion to let the Gods and Humanity fight one last battle, as the last hope for humanity's continued survival. 13 Gods will fight against 13 Human champions in one-on-one battles to decide whether Humanity lives or dies.
